about

Perpetual Dawn, the notorious underground Los Angeles techno party launches a new dancefloor oriented EP series with this inaguaral release from Force Placement.

Jason James aka Force Placement is a Los Angeles based DJ/Producer equally adept at acid house, techno, dub, ambient, minimal, electro and leftfield/IDM. He Hosts FP radio on RWD.FM and co-runs The Black Lodge, one of LA’s premiere underground techno parties, hosting the likes of Silent Servant, Claude Young, Svengalisghost, 2AM/FM, Santiago Salazar and more.

On this EP Mr. Placement goes for the jugular straight out of the gate with "Dirty Camry", an industrial-grade tribal electro stomper made for those with an appetite for destruction. This is followed by two cerebral deep acid-techno excursions "Mirrors" and "My Mind is Telling Me No", the latter serving up booming warehouse drums and hazy atmospherics that are sure to make ears prick up on the dance floor.  On the flip we have the blown-out alternate mix of "Mirrors" with raw, distorted drums and scorching 303 action. Lastly we're treated to the glassy-eyed minimal electro cut "Lifter", a dreamy ambient voyage into the unknown.
